As Head of Data Engineering, my role combines client delivery, technical assurance, and team leadership to ensure our clients get the very best solutions to their most complex challenges.I work directly with clients to uncover the real business problems, shape and design effective solutions, and help scope and deliver projects that generate long-term value. I provide technical oversight and assurance across all data-related projects, while stepping into a more hands-on role - whether as technical lead, architect, or engineer - where projects are particularly high-value, strategic, or require deep discovery. Beyond technical delivery, I help clients bridge cultural gaps between business and technology teams, resolve challenges with third-party providers, and realise the value of their existing platforms through audits, workshops, and pragmatic solutions.Internally, I lead recruitment and development of data engineers, from hiring, line management and mentoring to defining technical standards and coaching. I set the direction for our data engineering practice - shaping architectures, technology choices, DevOps practices, and delivery methods - while ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends. I also engage with our technical partners across AWS, Azure and other platforms to maintain the breadth and depth of expertise our clients expect.In short, I combine strategy with hands-on expertise to ensure Hypercube delivers technical excellence, trusted advice, and practical solutions that make a measurable difference to our clients.

I’m an experienced data engineering leader who builds high-performing teams, delivers large-scale data platforms, and shapes technical strategy. Currently Head of Data Engineering at Hypercube, I oversee technical assurance, solution design, and delivery excellence across complex client engagements in the energy sector, while also driving recruitment, mentoring, team development and presales activities.My career spans over 14 years in data engineering, including leadership roles at Sikoia, Dressipi, and Experian. I’ve led the design and build of data lakes, lakehouses and warehouses; real-time streaming platforms, recommendation engines, and PCI-compliant data sharing solutions. Whilst consulting at Hypercube, I’ve delivered demonstrable business value, whether through greenfield builds for startups, enterprise data platform builds or helping clients realise value from existing investments.I bring hands-on expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), modern data architectures, and DevOps best practices, coupled with the ability to define strategy, set technical standards, and manage technical partnerships.I’m passionate about leading teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative data solutions that solve real business problems.
