Joe Malone, Executive Vice President and Partner at Haydon, leads both the Building and Civil Divisions, guiding strategy, operations, and execution across the company’s diverse portfolio. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Joe earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University.Joe began his professional career with Haydon in 2005 as an intern in the takeoff department while completing his studies at ASU. After graduation, he joined full-time as a Project Engineer in the Civil Division and steadily advanced through the ranks—serving as Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager, Project Director, Director of Operations and SVP —before being named a principal and ultimately EVP.In his executive role, Joe provides leadership across both preconstruction and construction operations and remains deeply connected to the field, supporting craft professionals and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability. He is known for championing the Haydon Fundamentals and for his commitment to delivering high-performance outcomes through collaboration, integrity, and a solutions-focused mindset.Outside of work, Joe enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, off-road Jeep building and rock crawling, hunting, and giving back to the community through nonprofit service.
