With over 30 years of experience in the seafood industry, I am the Vice President of Product Development at Samuels and Son Seafood, a family-owned and operated business that supplies fresh and frozen seafood to various markets across the US and Canada. As a marine biologist, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in aquaculture, and I apply my expertise to create and promote products that meet the growing demand for seafood and protect the marine ecosystem.In my role, I lead the expansion of our product line, distribution network, and market share, while ensuring compliance with the highest standards of food safety, traceability, and environmental responsibility. I have also trained and empowered our teams to deliver exceptional service and knowledge to our customers, ranging from restaurants and chefs to retailers and consumers. I am passionate about driving innovation, quality, and sustainability in our operations, purchasing, and sales, and I collaborate with industry partners, researchers, and regulators to advance the best practices and policies in the seafood sector.
