October 2023 marks 20 years of my career with delfort! After spending several years with delfort in Tervakoski, Finland & Feurstein HQ in Austria, it was time to hit the action in North America with both convertors & brand owners. delfort had already made a huge success with tipping, LIP and thinprint papers however, it was time to unleash our award-winning, sustainable, specialty packaging and baking portfolio. We had the opportunity to reestablish a US base, and chose the picturesque town of Charlottesville, Virginia, also the home of Thomas Jefferson & the University of Virginia. delfort had been the first to introduce bio-coated QSR paper wraps which are recyclable and compostable, offering an unmatched sustainable benefit due to lower basis weights. North America had been flooded with PFAS, Quilon and waxed papers - it was time for healthy change and delfort had the key solutions.Our thinbake & thincup baking paper portfolio has had tremendous growth due to our incredible USP\'s, supply chain, and dedicated staff working around the clock to grow the North American market.Within a decade, our growth has been momentous. Our successful journey is ongoing as delfort introduces heat sealable cellulose, offering replacement opportunities for many unsustainable plastic applications.

ABOUT JOE KOFLER
With many years of multinational management experience in the packaging industry, I am passionate about creating and delivering cutting-edge specialty paper products that are recyclable, compostable, and environmentally friendly. As the President of delfort USA Inc, the team & I oversee our award-winning portfolio of QSR paper wraps, baking papers, release base papers & thinprint papers for the North American market, working closely with converters and brand owners to meet their diverse and evolving needs.In addition to my role at delfort, I previously served as Chairman, and now President of the Board, at GreenBlue Org (Sustainable Packaging Coalition, How2Recycle etc.), a nonprofit organization that fosters the creation of a resilient system of commerce based on the principles of sustainable materials management. Through our work, we promote transparency, provide design evaluation tools, guide post-use material communication, create educational opportunities, engage stakeholders, and offer consulting services. I am proud to be part of a team that is advancing the circular economy and enhancing the environmental and social impacts of our products and services.
