About Joe Kaufman
Bridge designer currently managing Class 1 railroad structure design and replacement with HDR Inc. My previous 4 years with Fishbeck involved DOT bridge design and inspection of city and municipal roadway and water infrastructure. While in college at the University of Cincinnati, I had several construction oriented experiences in commercial, water and wastewater, and DOT heavy civil drill and blast tunnel construction. I also lived in China for 4 months, providing a unique insight to global infrastructure practices. This blend of public and private experience enables me to understand all sides of the scope, design, and construction leading to comprehensive solutions to manage all parties involved.
