I’m the Traffic Anchor for The News at Daybreak, the market’s #1 morning show. After being in a suit, I change into my reporting attire to help turn content for later shows, frequently going live in the 12 p.m. newscast. After spending 4.5 years in The Heartland with WIBW in Topeka and KCTV in Kansas City, it was time to get closer to family. I learned a lot from working in a state capital and then in a large market — from pothole patrol to the aftermath of the Chiefs Super Bowl rally shooting.I’ve anchored, reported, sports reported, and produced in newsrooms over my career already. Helping me become a leader to younger professionals and proving I can handle a variety of tasks when called upon. I always tell producers “just give me 30 seconds” before a breaking news live hit for example because I trust in my abilities over the years to handle it and simplify it for the viewers.I graduated from the E.W. Scripps School with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism: News and Information at Ohio University in May of 2020. I also have a specialization in Sociology.I attended Oswego High School in Oswego, Illinois after living most of life in Ohio. It’s a complex story but in short, I’ve made friends everywhere I go!Who Dey, Go Irish, Go White Sox, Go Cavs.
