ABOUT JOE HILL

With over 15 years of experience in financial services, I have built a career defined by adaptability, continuous growth, and a commitment to delivering value through thoughtful execution. Beginning in the post room at SS & C Technologies (formerly IFDS), my journey has taken me through a broad range of roles and responsibilities, culminating in my current position as Director of Project Management at Alpaca Markets.After graduating from college, I joined SS & C’s Document Management Dispatch team, where I quickly learned the importance of precision, attention to detail, and working to demanding deadlines. From there, I advanced through a series of increasingly complex positions in operations and client services before joining the Client Services Complaints Project team in 2017. Initially brought in as maternity cover, I transitioned into a permanent role, leading projects spanning new business onboarding, regulatory change, and system implementations.Today, at Alpaca Markets, I lead the Integrations team that empower fintechs and brokers to create seamless investing experiences across US equities, options, and crypto. Operating in a fast-paced startup environment has pushed me to broaden my expertise beyond traditional project management into compliance, technical delivery, and pre-sales support enabling me to contribute across the full client lifecycle.I bring a methodical and analytical approach, balanced with the humility to seek input and collaborate to achieve the best outcomes. I am equally comfortable navigating ambiguity as I am driving execution to detail.Beyond my professional life, I’m a proud father to Freddie (born in 2020) and Maddison (born in 2023). Parenthood has been transformative, deepening my patience, adaptability and perspective. Outside of work and family, I’m a lifelong sports enthusiast and (sometimes reluctant) West Ham United supporter.
