Responsible for supporting the EHS workstream for Capital Projects to ensure compliance with internal and external EHS regulations and personnel safety during all phases of the project. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESImplement and drive capex project compliance with safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.Drive contractor and capex project compliance with internal Chr. Hansen EHS Global Minimum Requirement policies.Manages and maintains contractor safety program for Capex projects in compliance with regional contractor management program, Pre-Job Safety Meetings, and other relevant permitting programs.Manages and maintains incident investigations within the EHSQ management system, OSHA logs, and worker’s compensation claims. Leads safety and health programs for Capex projects to drive towards zero injuries.Assists with industrial hygiene surveys for exposure to chemicals, noise, and other occupational hazards as needed for the project or job site.Conducts and updates job hazard analyses and personal protective equipment assessments.Conducts periodic safety and environmental compliance audits of project sites. Issues status reports from audits and ensures that corrective actions are completed.Develop and conduct required safety and environmental training as required by local, state or federal law or company policy.Assists with programs such as fire prevention, employee evacuation, emergency response teams, ergonomic reviews and weather emergency and ensures regulatory and insurance policy compliance.Guides and supports company Safety Committee and Sustainability teams.Assists in maintaining Management Systems such as ISO 45001/ISO 14001 that will drive a site culture towards zero injuries and environmental compliance.Supports the Company’s Recycling and Sustainability Programs.
