Responsible for MCUK £600 Million I was employed by Bovis Lend Lease as Head of Health and safety at the £600m Media City UK Project, Within this time frame I worked with our client Peel Holdings to develop a Contractors handbook For the use of the supply chain to allow them to undertake there works safely within Peels retail premises and develop Peels procedures to allow these works to be managed both from an ongoing Construction new build works and planned ongoing maintenance. The MCUK Project consisted of infrastructure works including the spur link for the new metro link9 structures which were a mixture of concrete frames, steel frames, pre cast concrete, high rise residential and all fit out work including all M&E works. Along with a new bridge constructed over the Manchester ship canal. I was responsible for the managing of 60 sub contractors and a workforce that at peak of was in excess of 2500.The project had 14 tower cranes operational on site. I had the responsibility for the strategic management and control of high risk activities, along with the planning of works, the developing of the CPHSP and all associated plans. I was also involved developing new practices which are now being rolled across the national business this lead to the project being nominated at Global awards for IIF safety team of the year for the whole Lend Lease business.
