I’m a senior legal executive with over 25 years of experience advising top decision-makers in the U.S. Department of Defense on legal strategy, enterprise risk, international operations, and crisis response—often in environments where the cost of delay or error was measured in lives, not just liability.As the General Counsel (Staff Judge Advocate) for U.S. Central Command, I currently lead a multidisciplinary legal team overseeing cross-border operations across 21 countries. I advise a 4-star Combatant Commander—akin to a global CEO—on everything from international law and regulatory compliance to government contracting, sanctions enforcement, and cyber operations.Previously, I served as the Principal Deputy Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, where I helped shape national security legal policy at the highest levels of government. My work has spanned advising on rules of engagement in active conflict zones, navigating complex international agreements, and leading legal reviews tied to multi-billion-dollar procurement and logistics operations.At every stage of my career, I’ve brought calm to complexity.
