About Joseph Evert
Joe Evert is a senior underground mining engineer and underground water management consultant. He has a bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Mining and 33 years of operational and technical experience in underground mining and mining engineering. Joe has worked in underground hard rock mines acquiring an expert grounding in many different mining methods, ventilation, and pumping. As an underground superintendent in the development of the Ernest Henry Sub level cave the operation intersected a mine threatening aquifer, he then led a team to combat and overcome the water, through a series of pressure grouting campaigns and the development of a mine dewatering system. This unique system, which is still operational, proved invaluable to the mines future and is a clear example of his advanced problem solving and analytical assessment abilities. Over the past 11 years Joe has worked as a specialist consultant in several mines in Australia, Philippines, Indonesia, USA, PNG, Guatemala, and Africa primarily troubleshooting and solving major water issues and providing specialist underground water management plans.
