ABOUT JOE EL KHOURY
Family Medicine Specialist, Adult and Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care specialist, Pain Medicine Specialist, Masters in Public Health and Statistics in Biomedical research. I was drawn to Palliative Care after I discovered how powerful and underused the available tools are and how much they can change the experience of the disease and its impact on a whole family. I have always been particularly interested in providing care and support not only to the patients, but also to their families who live through the different stages of their loved ones’ illness and have to deal with loss and grief. Today, in addition to my clinical activities, my focus is on providing education and building capacity in Palliative Care all over the world.
