ABOUT JOE DIXON

I am an experienced Electrician, over the years I have worked with many various companies like DC Electrics which are a domestic installation company, W.Portsmouth & Co which offer a wide range of installations from hospitals to military defence bases, and also Macdonald Humfrey Automation where I worked on the conveyer tote systems at their Ocado food plant. I then moved onto programming PLC systems at Autotech Controls which specialised in car plants such as Jaguar Land Rover, Bmw and Mini, this is where I become familiar with Allen Bradley, Rockwell, RS Logix, Stratix switches, ABB robots, Movifit and Movipro drives as well as Factory Talk view studio. I was then working on Conveyor and Bric systems at JLR where I use a lot of the above as well as lenze versa drives which work over Ethernet/IP communication.I then worked at Heathrow airport for Babcock international where I was commissioning conveyor systems after the upgrade of level 3 HBS machines. This involved addressing and making healthy all As-I and Profibus networks, programming sick lightcurtains and running production tests ready for the machine and conveyor system to go into service.JLR Halewood working for Comau UK was another job where i was programming Allen Bradley PLC systems. Which involved Robot Cells to build the underbody frame for the new Range Rover Evoque.I then went to Olympus Automation writing code for A dairy Factory overseas using Allen Bradley ladder logic.I have enjoyed the time I have spent on different jobs which have been very vast, From domestic 240 volt supplys, to high voltage cables at Lister Hospital and MBDA Henlow and now onto PLC control systems at Ocado, BMW, Stansted Airport and JLR. I continue to strive to better myself and work hard for what ever company I may be working at.
