Joe has 25+ years of experience in the employee benefits field, consulting with mid-size organizations, and representing a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail and education. He provides comprehensive client care, from planning to implementation and assessment. He specializes in developing employee benefits strategies, consulting on plan design, providing financial analysis and long-term goal planning, leading carrier negotiations, and ensuring compliance and implementation.Joe began his career in 1994, helping grow the Employee Benefits Division at ALCOS from three employees to one of the largest employee benefit practices and full-service agencies in Michigan. In he became a shareholder at ALCOS and was appointed vice president of employee benefits. In 2007, ALCOS was acquired by Brown & Brown and Joe remained vice president for Brown & Brown Detroit and helped lead the transition. In 2014, he was named to the President\'s Club, for being among the top 25 producers in the country.As an MMA account director, Joe will leverage his expertise and extensive understanding of the insurance marketplace to help employers design group benefits plans that are compliant, competitive and conscientious of wellness goals. With his client service team, Joe advises a wide spectrum of businesses with a focus on strategic management, tactical consulting and stewardship of their group benefit programs.Joe has been recognized for his service with numerous awards and honors including the Distinguished Service Award from the Michigan Business & Professional Association. He has served on several advisory boards including The Greater Detroit Regional Chamber Small Business Board and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Statewide Advisory Board. He has spoken to many groups regarding employee benefit trends and strategies including the Michigan Association of CPAs, Eastern Michigan Tooling Association, and the Detroit Auto Dealers Association.
