1. Process Safety Engineer

   Sep 2015 — Present

   My work as a Process Safety Engineer is being done on the Mars Asset of Shell\'s Deepwater Gulf of Mexico fleet. It is a much older asset than my experience with Olympus and has presented different challenges, my contributions include- Facilitation of all Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) associated with asset changes or large capital projects coming to the asset- Assessor of process health for the Management of Change (MOC) system for the asset as a whole, this includes MOC Audits for quality assurance and completeness- Analysis of possible point of hydrocarbon release or existing loss of primary containment using dispersion modeling tools to avoid future major process safety events- Leader in effort to optimize offshore firewater system in order to ensure adequate supply is being delivered to all monitors, hoses, and deluge loops on the platform- Chief incident investigator for process safety incidents including loss of primary containment or normal process operation excursions
