About Joe Cummings
I am an educator, coach, mentor, and life-long learner. I am passionate about helping people go from where they are, to where they want to go, and hopefully to where they never thought possible. I believe in the power of having grit, and that being a life-long learner takes work and a growth mindset. I believe humility, empathy, and curiosity are the pillars for how learning can positively impact people and a community. Independent schools are inspiring communities, and I am grateful to work alongside teachers and coaches who work to bring out the best in their students. These leaders offer an invitation and a challenge for their students to be their best in their relationships, academics, and extracurricular activities. When we collectively pursue the vision to be our best, we deepen our connection with each other and help our school and community to flourish. I am grateful to serve at Memphis University School, a school that has had a tremendous impact on Memphis and the mid-south region.
