Safely operate various machinery and accessories such as, but not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload trailers in a safe and efficient mannerMaintain integrity of the freight by documenting and recouping any/all damages or discrepanciesBe knowledgeable and mindful of any/all schedules, priority customers, and departure times to ensure high-priority freight moves seamlessly through the network within a given service windowWork in tandem with various departments to keep an accurate gauge on incoming freight on a daily basis to determine how many runs would be necessary/available on a given dayEffectively train employees to maximize volumetric/cubic/weight capacity in safe loading techniques, provide accountability to both managers and the crewMeet with crew 1 on 1 and in group settings to discuss production and goals, address any issues, formulate plans to improve performance if needed, give constructive and positive feedback oftenStrategize and communicate across shifts and departments with managers and crew members about any issues and/or goals as they arise in real-time to be as efficient as possible with both freight/equipment and operationally related costs/proceduresTrained in hostling/yard jockeyingExperience across various freight related technologies and devices
