Field Operation Responsibilities: Coordinates hiring, managements and development of safety personnel and consultants in tandem with the Sr. V.P. of Field Operations. Assist Sr. V.P. of Field Operations in the growth and development of safety policies and procedures. Assist in developing goals and procedures to ensure training, motivation and achievement of safety goals by Construction teams. Supervises safety consultants / safety managers inclusive of direct and indirect responsibilities for staffing, training, motivating, performance appraisal/ goals and enhancement of procedures to ensure achievement of goals. Reviews documentation and filing of site walks by safety consultants/ managers and staff for completeness and project safety status. Review construction techniques and systems with the project teams to improve safety performance and results. Reviews and analyzes all accident occurrences and safety violations. Provides expert professional feedback and direction as well as feedback / direction to staff involved.Pre-construction Planning: Reviews preliminary staging and logistics plans with the project teams to insure adherence to local safety requirements. Works with the project teams to create site specific safety Reviews and procures field staff needs in conjunction with the Sr. V.P. of Field Operations. Provides advice to Superintendents and Project Managers regarding constructability, cost of construction, and material selections on construction projects. Administrative Responsibilities: Assures that field records are being properly maintained. Provide accurate feedback regarding safety performance of safety consultants, managers and field teams’ safety performance to the Sr. V.P. of Field Operations, Regional General Superintendents and Construction Vice Presidents. Assist in the semiannual reviews relating to safety performance.Other Duties and Responsibilities: Contributes to the establishment of controlling safety related budgets.
