Risk Management and Insurance• Leads Landus’s P&C insurance program from identification of insurable assets through implementation and oversight • Partner with broker(s) and internal stakeholders annually regarding all insurance renewal stages including application, quoting, binding and policy issuance.• Identify and monitor risk within each business unit.• Perform accounting-adjacent functions including monitoring and paying premiums, deductibles, budgeting, allocation, insurance accruals, and account reconciliation. • Prepare and maintain schedules for all coverage lines (property, environmental, etc.)• Periodic review of insurance program for potential gaps or other issuesClaims• As the subject matter expert, manages workers compensation, auto, general liability, cargo, and other claims. This encompasses the entire claims life cycle from reporting and investigation up to claim closure and/or settlement, as well as any related litigation in coordination with General Counsel. Proactively and aggressively manage claims to minimize costs to Landus.• Track key performance indicators and communicate claims analytics to provide to key stakeholders internally and externally.• Leads and resolves complex and difficult claims to achieve positive resolutions. • Maximize insurer/subrogation recoveries to minimize negative financial impact to Landus.Worker’s Compensation• Report and record worker’s compensation claims to the insurance company. Maintain and manage claim diary system. Aggressively manage the claims process to ensure early intervention and adherence to our internal policies and expectations. Follow up with injured workers, supervisors etc. when necessary.• Serve as liaison and resource for management, injured Landus personnel, and the insurer or medical provider to assist personnel through the process to enhance the employee’s experience. • Responsible for oversight and implementation of Landus’s Worker’s Compensation/Return to Work Program
