ABOUT JOE B.
I am an outgoing and enthusiastic graduate, in the early stages of my career. I currently work as a professional singer (Lay Clerk) at Peterborough Cathedral and a Teaching Assistant at Greater Peterborough UTC. My music performance skills have been recognised nationally: in my role within the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, where I\'ve had the opportunity to perform at many prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall. Through this organisation, I’ve also participated in events with some of the world’s leading ensembles (such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) and distinguished music professionals. I have also just completed a one-year choral scholarship at Lincoln Cathedral; and a two-year choral scholarship at Chelmsford Cathedral. I was responsible for being a core member of the choirs for the cathedral services and I often took solos during acts of worship. Outside of music, I have worked in other fields, too. My most recent non-musical experience was in hospitality. Whilst I was in Chelmsford, I worked continuously at wagamama for two years, where I gained restaurant and bar skills in a 200-seater restaurant. Through my role at Hospices of Hope, I gained barista skills, and built on my customer service experience. Lastly, I have plenty of experience in the voluntary/charity sector, too. This is shown by my roles working at Hospices of Hope and The Children\'s Trust, Tadsworth. As a kind and conscientious individual, I get a great deal out of making a difference to people\'s lives. Due to my commitment to the Student Mentor Scheme in my final year at university, I managed to achieve Student Mentor of the Year for my course. Through this, I learned that I really enjoy helping others and making positive change. I am always open to new opportunities, where I can hone my transferable skills and use them effectively to make meaningful contributions. People and connections are vital to me, so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to find out more!
