Hi, I’m Joe Apel—a creative leader with over 20 years of experience bringing stories to life through animation, storytelling, and design. I specialize in creating engaging, age-appropriate content for kids, having worked with major networks like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney Jr. As an Animation Director, I’ve led teams of 30+ artists, managing everything from storyboards to final delivery. I thrive on collaboration, guiding teams to produce high-quality content that resonates with young audiences. My passion for storytelling and visual development is at the heart of everything I do, whether it’s directing animation, designing characters, or pitching new ideas. I’m currently seeking opportunities as a Creative Director to oversee kid-focused projects that inspire and entertain. I believe in the power of storytelling to make an impact, and I’m excited to bring my leadership and creative vision to new teams and projects. In addition to my professional work, I host a weekly online drawing session, “Drawing Winsday,” where I explore creativity, share insights, and connect with others through art. When I’m not drawing or collaborating on stories, you can find me sharing ideas, brainstorming big-picture concepts, or making silly voices (a lifelong hobby!).
