About Joe Allgood

With a BA in Journalism from Pepperdine University, I am a multimedia storyteller with a passion for journalism, voiceover, and content creation. As the Head Podcast Producer at Pepperdine Graphic Media, I oversee the production and distribution of over 30 podcasts, covering topics such as news, sports, entertainment, and culture. I also work as a Reporter and Anchor at NewsWaves 32, where I deliver breaking news, live broadcasts, and social media content for the campus and local community. In addition, I have been a Voiceover Artist for five years, lending my voice to various projects, such as audiobooks, commercials, and animations. Through these experiences, I have developed and honed my skills in writing, editing, on-camera talent, and audio engineering, using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity, and GarageBand. I have also learned how to collaborate with diverse teams, communicate effectively, and perform under pressure. I am committed to creating quality content that shines a light on important issues and solutions, and that engages and informs the audience. Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I am actively involved in community service and performing arts, volunteering at summer camps and touring with Pepperdine\'s acapella singing ensemble. These activities have nurtured my interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as my cultural understanding and appreciation.
