About Jody Perry

I have recently transitioned into the private sector. My company is focused on the relationships between district authorizers and publicly funded charter schools. I have experience in the oversight and management of charter schools within Broward County, Florida. This oversight includes both the financial and academic systems for sustainability of charter schools. I have had the pleasure of representing the 6th largest fully accredited school district in the United States on a Town Hall panel discussion on the need for collaboration and cooperation between charter authorizers and charter providers. I was recently recognized as a Charter Champion by the Florida Alliance of Charter Schools as well as by Charter Schools USA. I have worked with the leadership of charter schools specializing in serving at-risk students who had either dropped out of standard education options, or are so deficient in credits, that graduation seemed unlikely. By presenting information and training to the leadership of these charter schools on the importance of understanding and monitoring graduation cohort accuracy, those schools were able to enjoy an increase in the number of students that graduated within their cohort. I am available to provide virtual consulting services to public charter schools. I continue to serve on the Advisory Board of Tomorrow\'s Rainbow, a local not for profit that focuses on working with children who have suffered the traumatic loss of a parent or sibling. This organization provides counseling to children and families in a therapeutic farm environment through the use of miniature horses and other animals.
