Operations Director – UK Pub & Hospitality SectorI am an Operations Director responsible for driving sustainable commercial performance across a large and diverse estate of managed, leased and tenanted pubs across multiple regions.My focus is on delivering strong P&L performance, improving sales and margin, protecting profit through effective stock control, and using data, dashboards and clear reporting to support decision making, investment planning and accountability at both site and regional level. I work closely with operators and internal teams to ensure every pub is commercially focused, well run and positioned to grow.People development is central to my approach. I support and challenge Business Development Managers and Operators through structured training, webinars, roadshows and hands-on site support. This includes recruitment, onboarding, TUPE processes and ongoing operator development to ensure standards are understood, performance is consistent and teams have the tools to succeed.Alongside this, I oversee marketing and brand activity across the estate, working with teams to drive visibility, community engagement and sales growth through structured social media strategies, campaigns and performance audits.An important part of my role is strengthening governance, compliance and operational standards to protect the estate and support long-term success. This includes leading estate-wide programmes covering Fire Risk Assessments, statutory compliance, CAPEX planning, property audits and remedial works, ensuring clear audit trails from risk identification through to action and certification. I work closely with internal teams, operators, contractors, local authorities, lenders and insurers to ensure sites are safe, compliant and future ready.
