   I work with local, regional and national news media to provide information on a range of topics from power outages to environmental regulations to electricity generation, decarbonization efforts, and more. I\'m often interviewed in this capacity, but I also arrange interviews with subject matter experts within our company. I conduct individual, small, and large group training for individuals who may work with journalists to ensure they\'re prepared to represent the company effectively, confidently, and with heart, in any interview situation.Within these duties, I work to build and maintain relationships with journalists and industry professionals, among others. I also develop talking points on complex issues that could Garner media attention for use by OPPD board members, customer service representatives and other employees.In addition, I generate news story ideas, conduct interviews, write stories and produce videos for both internal and external audiences with a strong emphasis on content marketing. At times, this work includes collaboration on infographics designed to break down big numbers and technical details into a clear, concise and visually appealing format.My work requires that I stay up to speed on issues facing the power industry including fossil generation, renewable energy, nuclear energy, legal and regulatory matters. I compile daily company newsletters highlighting important news relating to OPPD and the energy industry.
