About Jodi Spataro

Jodi Spataro is a nonprofit industry leader with a diverse background in strategic fundraising, nonprofit capacity building, and board governance. With more than 27 years of experience working and volunteering in the nonprofit sector, Jodi uses her background in marketing, fund development and strategic partnerships to ensure her clients are well positioned to meet the emerging needs of the nonprofit sector. Jodi is known to be a skilled relationship-builder, strategist, and detail-oriented leader who connects passionate people to causes they care about most. She listens to her clients and the needs of the community to design innovative fundraising plans and integrated marketing approaches to grow revenue and participation. She has presented on fundraising and board governance topics at meetings throughout the state of Indiana, as well as nationally. Jodi is a recipient of the Woman of the Year from the Greater Elkhart Chamber, “Forty Under 40” award from the South Bend Regional Chamber, and the Woman to Watch from the YWCA. Jodi holds a bachelor’s degree from Bethel University and earned certificates in marketing, fundraising, and nonprofit management from the University of Notre Dame. Jodi began her career with a national nonprofit serving the St. Joseph and Elkhart region and most recently served as the Chief Advancement Officer for the Community Foundation of Elkhart County for more than 15 years. She has served on many boards and committees with local and national organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Kiwanis International, Kappa Kappa Kappa Alpha Rho, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School and Finance Council, and the AdNet National board of Fundraising Professionals.

Fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community leaders, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and employees, to build meaningful partnerships and execute community engagement programs is essential to the intentionality of our social responsibility. I am entrusted with the philanthropic initiatives, including charitable giving and corporate social responsibility activities, to align with Kem Krest’s core values and objectives.
