My passion is helping families navigate the complex and often emotional journey of end-of-life and legacy planning, for both their human and pet loved ones. Having personally witnessed the financial and emotional toll these decisions can take, I\'ve dedicated my career to making this process clear, empowering, and stress-free.Since 1988, I\'ve been immersed in the end-of-life industry, working in family-owned funeral homes and beyond. I\'m also the author of \'Navigating the Elder Care Journey…Without Going Broke!\', and \"It\'s Complicated\" both are practical guides to demystifying the process and avoiding common financial pitfalls.Beyond my work with people, I am a passionate pet advocate. After losing my funeral home\'s therapy dog, Max, I was inspired to found one of the country\'s first pet loss centers affiliated with a funeral home. I believe pets deserve the same dignity and respect as humans in their final moments. As a Certified Pet Loss Professional (CPLP), I am dedicated to elevating the standards for pet end-of-life care.When I\'m not working, you can find me enjoying quality time with my grandchildren, listening to Bruce Springsteen, and relaxing on the shores of western Michigan.
