About Jodi Harris
WHAT I DO I support people as they navigate life’s ups and downs. My background in education, corporate and non-profit training, clinical social work and program management offers me the unique perspective needed to meet culturally, nationally, and regionally diverse clients of all backgrounds exactly where they are. With over 15 years’ combined experience in clinical social work and coaching, my clients most benefit from my strengths in active listening, powerful questioning, focused insight, and non-judgmental presence no matter which service they choose. MY PERSPECTIVE In my work, I am dedicated to creating forward-thinking, inspirational, and solution-oriented approaches. My clients feel supported, engaged, and challenged within an open, fun, creative and accepting space. Much of my work is centered in the concepts of mindfulness. I believe that we are all born with the skills of mindfulness – to pay curious, deeply engaged attention to our experiences and to the world around us. My goal is to help my clients tune in to their emotions, thoughts, physical sensations and more. I want you to know how possible it is to live as your highest and best self.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Regional Director Northern Virginia
Active And Connected Family Therapy
May 2022 — Present · Arlington, VA, US
I work with adults, couples, parents, preteens, and teens who are struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment to life transitions, stress, health issues, and other challenges. I have a particular interest and skillset in supporting people living or working across cultures – including immigrant and migrant communities, individuals seeking refuge from community violence, expats, Foreign Service, military, and third culture kids (TCKs) and their families. I also have direct experience with and special interest in working with families effected by Type 1 Diabetes. My approach to therapy is open, authentic, nurturing, creative, and collaborative. While taking an integrative approach to therapy, I work with my clients to foster resilience, cultivate mindful awareness, see things anew, and live in tune with their values and the vision of who they most want to be in the world. I am licensed in Virginia and Texas and am accepting clients in both states. I am also a certified mindfulness teacher.
