About Jocelyn Mejia
Hi! Im Jocelyn! People usually call me Joce - I am a sophomore at Syracuse University Renee Crown Honors Program studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism. I am a recipient of the Syracuse University 1870 Scholarship, awarded for academic, creative, and personal achievement. I am also honored to be the recipient of the Newhouse Dean Lorraine Branham Scholarship, which supports under-resourced, talented students by providing the opportunity to attend Syracuse University and the Newhouse School debt-free.Beyond academics, I served as Station Manager for Bear Country News, where I supported 90 students in developing their off-camera skills using Premiere Pro, enhancing their writing abilities, and gaining on-camera experience through anchoring and reporting for bi-weekly shows. I now produce for CitrusTV Sports and am furthering my broadcasting skills being a member of 4 different shows and networks varying from sports to entertainment. My goal is to spread skill and grit throughout my journey at Syracuse University. Moving forward, I aspire to grow my interests and connect with inspiring individuals who will help me pursue my dreams.
