ABOUT JOBIN RAJU GEORGE

11 years of Engineering + Product management experience focussing on cloud offerings. Currently working as a Product Manager in the Azure VMware Solution service in Microsoft Azure. I work on driving the business for helping customers migrate their workloads and applications from on-premises environments to the cloud.Prior to this, I worked as a Product Manager at VMware, working with the CloudHealth by VMware team. CloudHealth by VMware is a SaaS application that provides financial insights into the cloud infrastructure a customer may have, including AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware Cloud, Oracle Cloud & private cloud. I worked on leading the initiatives on integration with Google Cloud and on initiatives that helped the product team back their decisions with data that we collect and compile on the platform with respect to platform usage and feature adoption.Prior to this, I worked on vRealize Business for Cloud (vRBC), a product that is responsible for costing and billing of virtual infrastructure- including that of private, hybrid and public cloud. I worked on integration of vRealize Operating Manager with vRBC and developing the reports for AWS, vCloud Air, LUN\'s & arrays.Apart from regular work, I have been involved with the development of integrating vRealize Operations Manager, a product that monitors and analyzes virtual infrastructure, with Docker containers. Along with this, I was also involved in researching and porting VMware Photon, a light-weight OS released by VMware for hosting containers on 32-bit architecture.A regular participant of hackathons hosted in VMware for initiating and developing innovative ideas. As part of this, I, along with my colleagues developed an agent that would integrate with VMware vSphere client and intelligently consolidate host by migrating virtual machines away from lightly-loaded hosts and power off those hosts, saving power and cost.
