ABOUT JOAQUIN OCHOA

Finance guy and kitchen wizard with a creative spark, passionate about food, travel and people. My favorite roles allow me to marry my background in business along with my passions and unique ability to connect with people. One of my joys is prospecting and bringing people and businesses together that I think would be a great match. I am a seasoned Contract Negotiator and General Bookkeeper with 20 years’ experience in corporate, small business and start-up environments. I am talented at managing vendor relationships and negotiating favorable contract terms. I am knowledgeable about both single and double entry systems for large and small sized businesses. My kitchen chops (pun intended) span my childhood busting out my knife skills in my parents\' restaurant to working as a line cook in Portland\'s food carts (Artigiano), breweries (Modern Times) and restaurants (Gado-Gado and Beast). Finally, I have an entrepreneurial and creative side which has led me to experiment with writing on my personal blog and building a significant following, running an Airbnb in the concrete jungle of New York City (my favorite parts were greeting tourists and taking them to my favorite hotspots around town), and creating my own line of chocolate cannabis edibles.
