Dvp Lead Ema Architecture @JLR
Gaydon, GB
EMA Architecture DV Lead contributing to the overall Test & Development strategy across multiple EV nameplates.Initially focused on coordination of vehicle-level validation plans, the role evolved into supporting architecture-level planning, cross-nameplate alignment and digital transformation initiatives within the T&D organization.Key contributions include:• Coordinating end-to-end validation plans across vehicles, rigs and facilities• Structuring requirements supporting implementation of a centralized JIRA-based planning ecosystem used by 500+ engineers, consolidating three previously disconnected tools into a single traceable system• Supporting migration from Excel-based reporting to integrated Primavera P6 planning and Tableau dashboards, enabling live visibility across ~600 test assets• Providing maturity, ageing and risk visibility to senior programme leadership, reducing reliance on manual PowerPoint-based reporting• Contributing to early-stage definition and pilot of an internal AI assistant MVP to improve access to structured validation dataOperating in a high-complexity EV environment, the role requires cross-functional alignment, structured problem solving and continuous process improvement.
EDUCATION

ABOUT JOÃO G.
For the past 12 years, I’ve worked across global automotive OEMs including Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan and Aston Martin. While my foundation is in engineering, the most defining part of my recent career has been contributing to digital transformation initiatives inside complex, multi-stakeholder environments. At Jaguar Land Rover, I’ve been closely involved in a major transformation of the Test & Development organization. As part of a broader leadership vision to modernize planning and data flows, I worked extensively on structuring requirements, validating operational needs, and guiding the implementation of a centralized digital planning ecosystem.Operating in an environment previously reliant on siloed processes and Excel-based workflows, I spent significant time:• Translating operational pain points into structured tool requirements• Aligning cross-functional stakeholders across multiple departments• Supporting Agile implementation (JIRA) with our internal toolset team• Driving adoption discussions and refining the platform through real user feedbackIn parallel, I contributed to the migration from static Excel reporting to live portfolio visibility using Primavera P6 and Tableau dashboards — enabling clearer executive insight into planning maturity, risk and resource alignment.More recently, I’ve been involved in defining the MVP scope for an internal AI chatbot assistant, working alongside a data scientist to explore how to make our structured operational data easily available to our internal costumers and deliver a faster and better costumer experience when interacting with out test plans and assets specs.Today, what motivates me the most is operating at the intersection of business need, structured data, and practical digital implementation — helping teams move from fragmented processes to aligned, data-driven ecosystems that eliminate slow or inefficient manual work via automation and improvement of processes.I am particularly interested in digital innovation, AI enablement, and business acceleration roles where ambiguity is high and structured thinking adds value.Outside of my professional role, I actively experiment with AI-driven automation and self-hosted infrastructure. I design end-to-end workflows using tools such as n8n to extract, structure and analyse data. Built a personal financial dashboard, and currently exploring LLM-based assistants in my Homelab. This hands-on experimentation strengthens my understanding of practical AI deployment, automation architecture and secure data ecosystems.Thank you for your time
