As an Occupational Health Advisor, I support employees with a huge variety of issues on a daily basis. Some are physical concerns, such as how individuals can continue to work whilst injuries like broken arms heal. Others are mental health issues, with employees dealing with the impact of marital breakups or loss, stressful workplace relationships and organisational changes. I provide practical advice and reports to managers about adjustments to the workplace or working patterns to help employees deal with their health concerns. I also provide signposting where required and give suggestions for self-help, working with individuals on both a one-off and ongoing basis.
