Experienced People Manager and Problem SolverHard Work: I began my career in software as a Technical Writer/Editor, and I quickly took an interest in user interface design (UI) and user experience (UX) and the importance of creating content that was easy to navigate (consistency helps!), engaging, and educational. My responsibilities grew with my depth of knowledge and soon I was promoted to Documentation Manager and then Content Development Manager. In this role I managed the User Assistance Product line: I defined content life cycles; collaborated with the Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Support teams; established content standards; supervised a small team of writers; and drove the evolution of our content to keep pace with rapid evolution of the software product. Versatility: My interests have exposed me to a wide range of responsibilities. After managing the content strategy for Dexter + Chaney, an HR Manager position became available. The strong relationships I had with my peers after years of cross-functional teamwork, paired with the desire to create meaningful policies and processes, landed me in this role where I spent 2 years familiarizing myself with business operations and priorities.Today: My hybrid skill set reflects my interest in all matters relating to people, software, and the user experience that defines the relationship between the two. My work ethic and versatility, supplemented by a healthy dose of curiosity and candor, have served me well.
