A key part of our offer is to provide representation and influence on behalf of our members, and as the Director of Policy, it\'s my job to ensure that we do this at all levels of local, national and UK government, as well as with key stakeholders across the city and beyond.My specific responsibilties include- With our Chief Executive, developing, shaping and delivering the policy strategy for the organisation- Developing our policy positions, overseeing consultation responses, commissioning research, and engaging with members on relevant key policy issues- Representing the Edinburgh Chamber on a number of high-profile local and national groups and regularly interacting with government and key stakeholders at all levels to promote and protect the interests of our members

These have been in diverse areas including policy, client services, operations, service development, account management, stakeholder management, business development, bidding, programme management and implementation, and transition and transformation.With a proven track record in policy work and organisational development, I have significant strategic experience and am commercially and financially astute, with P&L experience.I have a highly developed ability to build sound relationships with key stakeholders and internal delivery functions, based on regular open and honest communication, and am highly experienced in working with the commercial, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
