Joanne Boufis is a supportive, compassionate, self-aware business leader and entrepreneur who has aligned her interests to support people coping with loss and struggling to find context for themselves in a changing world. Transitioning from an international real estate investment business, she launched JoFactor Entertainment, focusing on children’s health and wellness. Her creative journey has since taken her into women’s leadership development, specialty publishing, brand management, content curation for streaming, and film, where she is finding her niche as a media producer and distributor. Fueled by an insatiable drive to serve, Joanne has followed her heart, indulged her passions, and embraced resilience throughout her career. Known as “The Author’s Muse,” she partners with writers unique in their approach and vision to develop relevant content and merchandising solutions that promote personal and professional development. She and her team provide full self-publishing support from concept to product, including PR, social media, and multichannel distribution strategies. A PUBLISHER ON A MISSION TO EFFECT POSITIVE CHANGE An advocate for child empowerment, Joanne is developing a children’s health and wellness curriculum worthy of inclusion in every after-school program. Her creativity, versatility, and flexibility as a hybrid publisher are rooted in her love of children’s books and enriching young people’s lives through stories, games, music, art, and other educational products. FINDING PURPOSE AND RESILIENCE THROUGH GRIEF After the passing of her husband in 2018, Joanne embarked on a creative journey of healing, advocacy, and growth. As a young widow and stepmother, she realized the impact of books on easing children’s transition through traumatic, life-changing events. Her resilience in the face of grief manifested in creating a strong female avatar who could empower children, further inspiring her to start her own publishing company.
