About Joanna Meyer

Since my first boss dubbed me “the city-builder”, I’ve built projects from the ground up. I’m a pioneer at heart and passionate about finding creative solutions to our communities\' challenges. I spent the last twenty years working in corporate and nonprofit spaces, developing leaders, building healthy teams, and enriching organizational culture. I love my work at Denver Institute for Faith & Work, where I founded Women, Work, & Calling, a growing movement equipping Christian women for faith-formed influence in public life. Through its publications/resources, events, training programs, and collaboration with like-minded ministries, WWC addresses a critical gap in Christian women\'s discipleship-and the women we serve agree. In the last 2 years we\'ve seen our annual event grow 4x to include 1,300 participants in 18 U.S. communities and 23 countries in 2024!My book Women, Work & Calling: Step into Your Place in God\'s World (InterVarsity Press) was a top new release in two categories on Amazon (Women & Business / Christian Business & Professional Growth) and won an InterVarsity Press Readers\' Choice Award in 2023. My writing has also appeared in Common Good Magazine, Faith Driven Entrepreneur, Propel Women, and the National Christian Foundation.

   Since 2015, I\'ve led Women, Work, & Calling, a nationally focused strategy that disciples Christian women for influence in public life through strategic planning, thought leadership, and program design. Highlights include seeing the annual Women, Work, & Calling event grow 4x in 3 years, serving women in 37 states and 32 countries, with 1,350 participants in 2025! And, building an ecosystem of women\'s vocational discipleship through partnerships with churches, nonprofits, higher ed, friends in the faith and work space, and more.In 2023, I published Women, Work, & Calling: Step into Your Place in God\'s World, winner of one of InterVarsity Press\'s annual Readers\' Choice Awards and a top new release on Amazon.
