About Joanna Haines
I am a proud alumna of Cornell University, the South Carolina Honors College, and the Darla Moore School of Business. I graduated magna cum laude and with honors from the South Carolina Honors College (#1 Public Honors College), earning a Bachelor of Science from the Darla Moore School of Business with double majors in International Business (#1 U.S. News & World Report) and Marketing, along with a minor in Italian. I further advanced my education with a Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) from Cornell University\'s Nolan School of Hotel Administration (SC Johnson College of Business), ranked as the world’s top hospitality program.Following my postgraduate studies, I joined Royal Caribbean Group, working across two of its premier brands: Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. I started in the Hotel Operations Rotational Program - a comprehensive two-year leadership development initiative designed to provide deep exposure to both shoreside and shipboard hotel operations. I am passionate about creating and executing new strategic brand initiatives - from supporting the startup of Icon of the Seas to developing and overseeing the rollout of Celebrity Cruises’ Ship Excursions. Currently, I’m leading the launch and global operational management of the innovative Royal Beach Club portfolio - the first of its kind.Beyond Royal Caribbean Group, I’ve worked as a consultant for hospitality and lifestyle brands, gained experience in sports marketing for NCAA events, and developed operational expertise at Old Edwards Inn & Spa, a distinguished Relais & Châteaux property.
