Joanna is the lead design engineer for the Kimley-Horn portion of the CDOT Region 1 Colorado State Highway 7 (CO 7) West 15% design in Broomfield, Erie, Lafayette, and Boulder Counties managing $270k design fee. She coordinates between the three consulting teams on the project in addition to partners within all four counties and CDOT. The project goal is to identify the footprint for the ultimate widening section of 12 miles of CO 7 which will accommodate BAT lanes running throughout the corridor and a multi-use path for bikes and pedestrians. Joanna is one of the two lead design engineers for a pavement rehab project for UDOT Region 2 with a construction cost of 170 million. She is leading half of the design and modeling while overseeing the work of others to complete production of over 1700 plan sheets. Joanna led the design and roadway and drainage coordination for a box culvert replacement and swale design project along US-50B for CDOT Region 3. The swale was designed to correct flooding issues onto the roadway and a new box culvert under US-50B was designed to replace a corroding, undersized pipe. An irrigation box was designed to replace a substandard existing box after coordination with a local farm property owner. Joanna is working to help build the CDOT practice for the Denver, Colorado office of Kimley-Horn. She is the Roadway Task manager for a widening and overlay project along CO-7 for the City of Broomfield and CDOT Region 1 as well as for a resurfacing project along US 350 for CDOT Region 2. Joanna has worked on multiple small roadway studies for CDOT Region 3. Joanna provides on-call services to review Developer designed roadway plans for Elbert County, Colorado. Joanna is providing technical expertise and design oversight on multiple UDOT projects utilizing OpenRoads skills.Joanna contributed to the Stage and Stage IV roadway design submittals for the widening of Sunset Road in Pima County, Arizona adhering to ADOT standards.
