For most of my career, I helped developers understand systems. I now help models understand systems well enough that developers can trust what they do.I think of context engineering as editorial judgment applied to AI systems: choosing what a model should know, how it should be structured, and when it should arrive. The audience changes. The discipline doesn\'t.I\'m a founding member of the Python Documentation Editorial Board. I\'ve worked in developer-facing roles as a Staff Education Engineer, an Information Architect, and an Executive Editor.
