As co-owner in my own family-operated business I have taken on multiple tasks and roles pulling together all the skills and experience from my previous employment. I am constantly learning new skills and adapting my knowledge and expertise as needed to reach our business goals.Running day to day business operations for a retail shop from front of house to back office means I can turn my hand to a multitude of things. Customer service is imperative of course, advising customers in store, over the phone and by email. Then there\'s ordering, pricing and displaying stock, communicating with suppliers, planning and arranging art demonstrations and running craft classes for adults and children. And of course there\'s the book keeping!Then there is the marketing side of the business which included setting up social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest and then maintaining those with regular posts, interactions and advertising. I designed the website via a CMS and am continually writing copy, adjusting it for SEO, and creating, editing and adding images and graphics. As well as for the website and social media I use a combination of Canvas and GIMP to design graphics and edit images for advertising posters and flyers. I also write newsletters and send out e-marketing campaigns.We recently added our online shop which I set up and manage, along with the required marketing that goes with running an online business.
