ABOUT JOANNA BERENSON
I have worked in the DOE for 22 years in roles tied to leadership, the arts, and education. Currently I am the Bronx Borough Arts Director, working to support schools and school leaders with the quantity and quality of their arts programming and helping school leaders achieve their school-wide goals through the arts. Prior to my current role, I worked at the Office of Teacher Effectiveness as a Talent Coach; helping to support the roll out of the Danielson Framework to support and evaluate teacher practice. I have also held multiple school-based roles: as a principal, assistant principal, a lead teacher and a visual arts teacher.
