Overall lead and developer of the Guide Dogs People Strategy with our Head of HR, Head of Learning and Organisational Development, HR Business Partners and Head of Volunteering reporting into me. Responsible for the strategic direction of 1400 staff and volunteers for all people aspects of the organisation including resourcing, diversity, reward and recognition, HR services, HR consultancy, business partnering with the senior teams, learning and development, volunteering and organisation development. Budget holder for all people budgets for the organisation. Member of Operational Board and REMCO,(Remuneration Committee – Trustees).

ABOUT JO SULLIVAN MOSLEY
Jo Mosley is Assistant Chief Officer – Director of People and Support Services for Dorset Police.An executive member of the Dorset Police leadership team with responsibility for enabling functions including HR, L&D, Resourcing, ICT, Estates, Health & Safety and Fleet. Responsible for providing visionary and strategic leadership for a portfolio of services that supports the Force’s Chief Officers and Department Heads in the achievement of Dorset Police’s priorities, including the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy for the force.This role acts as the Chief Constable’s senior strategic adviser on all matters relating to workforce development and culture, the proactive development of peoples management processes and practices, the continual improvement of information technology and the effective use of resources relating to fleet and police estate. Providing leadership and expertise to the Force’s long-term goals around people development, including talent acquisition and succession planning. Jo Mosley was previously HR Director at the Salvation Army overseeing the employees in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, where The Salvation Army has approximately: members and 1,500 Salvation Army officers (full-time ministers). She previously was Head of People for Guide Dogs for the Blind for eight years overseeing the HR Business Partners, HR consultants, Payroll, Reward and Benefits, Resourcing, Safeguarding and Diversity. Other experience includes Head of Volunteering at Mencap where she worked for 13 years and was involved in creating mainstream volunteering opportunities for people with a learning disability across the sector. Jo was a member of the initial Leadership 20:20 group and commissioner for the future leadership of Civil Society. She was a panel member for the implementation of the recommendations of the commission under the chair of Baroness Tanni Grey Thompson. She has sat on a host of panels and groups including being Deputy Chair of the Challenge Panel for the College of Policing, England Volunteer Development and the National Network of Volunteer Involving Agencies. She chaired the Inclusion Action Group to ensure that the recommendations of the Commission on the Future of Volunteering were taken forward in an inclusive way.
