ABOUT JO BIRCH
Jo delivers, through Crucial Difference, an innovative online EMCC ESQA / ICF approved Diploma in Coaching Supervision in RU, EN and CN and immersive programmes, in person, in Beijing (Oct 2024) and Europe (in the making!).Graduate programmes include Advanced Certificate in Group Supervision and an Adv Diploma in SupervisionJo is also Course Consultant and External Verifier for other EMCC accredited supervision programmes.Having recently found a love of the Editor role, Jo has two books: Coaching Supervision (Co-editor with Peter Welch) and CoachingSupervision Groups, both Routledge. She is also a regular contributor to professional journalsJo works as a confidant and executive coach across the globe. Through living and working in multi-cultural communities, she specialises in inter-cultural work.Jo has developed and managed a number of high level multi-sector partnerships delivering complex health and social programmes and understands complexity, and the myriad factors at play in the leadership of our institutions, national / local public services and within communities. Jo has a special interest in supporting people who serve others through community and public leadership roles.Jo also has a special talent for facilitating the process of rebuilding, or refocussing, with people and systems which have lost their way. Jo has been providing professional supervision to coaches, counsellors/psychotherapists, NHS managers, consultants and specialist practitioners for over 25 years.Through Crucial Difference, Jo designs and delivers learning programmes, from new supervisor to alchemist. Jo has close connections and partnerships with organisations, groups and networks in Ukraine, Russia and Russian-speaking countries, Pakistan, EMEA, Romania and Asia Pacific. Jo is an active volunteer within the coaching profession: previously Association for Coaching (AC) Host Supervisor for Group Supervision Experiences (6 years); AC Supervision Special Interest Group (SIG); Global Supervisors Network (GSN)\'Supervision of Supervision\' SlG (3 year research study); GSN Ethical Coach Ethiopia initiative (2 years); previously Board member of Association for Coaching Supervisors (AOCS) & European Association for Supervision and Coaching (EASC). and previous Chair BACP CoachingJo held a Public Appointment with Children\'s Hearings Scotland (Panel/Chair) for 6 years, and was on the management of Venturing Out - CIC providing adventurous activities for families and children with special needs.
