As a co-opted governor, I contribute to the strategic leadership and accountability of two federated schools, with a particular focus on curriculum, quality assurance, and inclusive provision across the arts and Key Stage 3- Help shape the federation’s strategic direction and evaluate progress against school improvement priorities- Hold the Headteacher and SLT to account for educational outcomes, staff development, and the impact of professional learning- Serve as Link Governor for Art, Music, Drama, KS3, and Year 10, conducting learning walks, curriculum reviews, and stakeholder engagement- Report on the quality of teaching and student engagement to the full governing body, championing curriculum breadth and enrichment- Supported governance stability and leadership decision-making during a period of significant transition- Draw on my experience as a senior leader to offer informed challenge, support QA processes, and align priorities with wider equity and inclusion goalsThis role complements my professional leadership, allowing me to contribute strategic insight and advocate for creative, inclusive education beyond my own school.
