ABOUT JOSEPH MUSSA
I work as a Pharmacoepidemiologist at AstraZeneca, where I focus on leveraging real-world evidence (RWE) to inform clinical and public health decision-making. My role involves utilizing large-scale data to generate actionable insights that improve patient outcomes and advance healthcare innovation. I hold a PhD in Epidemiology from McGill University, where I specialized in cardiometabolic disorders, maternal and child health, and evidence synthesis. My research has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications, and I have presented my findings at numerous national and international conferences, including those hosted by Diabetes Canada, the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the International Diabetes Federation, and the Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
