ABOUT JEAN-MICHEL CAMBOT

I’ve spent the last 35+ years working on a single idea:Making complex information directly accessible and actionable. In 1990, I built SkipperSQL on a Compaq portable. The idea was simple:people should not need to understand databases to access information. That idea became Business Objects, and introduced what is now called the semantic layer. For decades, the industry tried to bypass this layer:self-service BI, dashboards, direct SQL access…It worked. But it never scaled properly.Something essential was missing.Today, with the rise of large language models, the same truth is re-emerging:AI without structure leads to approximation.AI with structure enables reasoning. This is the direction I’m now pursuing with AIDocs Studio.Max is not a chatbot. It is a structured AI system designed to produce reliable, actionable legal work- generating contracts from intent- improving documents with precise modifications- analyzing large document sets (datarooms)- integrating natively with Microsoft 365My focus today is simple:Bridging the gap between language and execution. From data…to documents…to decisions.
