About Jonathan Masukawa
1998, that’s when it all began. I was 10 years old, and it was teacher appreciation day in Mrs. Carr’s 5th grade class. Other kids brought her fruit baskets or gift cards. I gave her a floppy disk with a piece of grading assistance software I wrote, and taught her how to use it. The program was simple and written in BASIC, but was made with the same love and care a child makes a crayon drawing (and it came with years of free support!).Today, I still write software as passionately as I did back then, except the users are different. The programming languages and frameworks available today are incredibly advanced, providing the world’s biggest sandbox for a kid at heart to play in.
