About Jeremy Mak-Romo
In the past 20 years, my work has ranged from agroforestry and food security, logistics, and water and sanitation to disaster response, environmental advocacy, human rights education, and poverty alleviation. The majority of these positions were in resource-poor, conflict, and emergency settings, including Ukraine, Darfur, Nigeria, post-quake Haiti, Bangladesh, and along the Thai-Burma border. My goal is to save lives and help peoples from poor and challenging environs to meet their basic needs and realize their aspirations for development, security, and a better quality of life.
