About Jorge Montezuma
I’m a consultant with operations background. I provide technical assistance to guide you in organic waste management strategies and develop and improve composting infrastructure. I do this through strategic planning, conceptual plans, permitting, site design, operations optimization, technical due diligence, and staff trainings.With over 14 years of experience in both the public and private sectors—including 5 years in composting operations—I bring a well-rounded, hands-on perspective to organics recycling. I’ve worked nationwide on more than 60 composting projects and visited over 140 organics recycling sites, most of them being composting operations.My expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design and permitting to commissioning and ongoing optimization. I’m a licensed Professional Engineer in NC, SC, FL, MD, and CO, and hold engineering degrees from Cal Poly and NC State University.
